Designer and artist Karen Ryan, recipient of the arc award 2008, presents an installation of work in progress.

"I am presently addicted to drawing and painting lines on large while pieces of paper for the single purpose of screwing them up. Intentionally disrupting the 2 dimensional, forcing it to become a 3 dimensional state. At the same time I can not drop the conceptual idea of designing ’litter’ as a subversive comment on product design. Both of these current obsessions run parallel without answer".
