aspex supports emerging artists in Portsmouth and beyond through a programme of artist focused activities, including one to one surgeries, peer review, workshops and symposia. We aim to encourage critical engagement, self assessment and a proactive approach.

One to one surgeries

One to one surgeries are free 45 minute bookable sessions with our Artist Advisor Jonathan Parsons. Artists can use these sessions to get critical feedback on work or to discuss any aspect of career development, fundraising, presenting work, making proposals or specific projects. To book a one to one surgery please email a request to jonathan@aspex.org.uk. You should provide a brief summary of what you would like to discuss together with a current CV, artist’s statement and 4 jpeg images of your work.
