The award-winning restoration of this historic naval site offers inspiring surroundings for your event that will be both productive and memorable.
The range of spaces available to hire at aspex gives you the flexibility to choose what suits your needs and budget. Our team not only offers you unrivalled hospitality but imaginative and versatile solutions, technical support and a sophisticated menu of dining and refreshment choices whilst you are here. - All rates include cleaning, wi-fi, AV equipment and the use of a flipchart.
- The equipment on offer includes projectors, MacBooks, IPads, LCD Televisions, DVD Players and more – as a contemporary art gallery we have a lot of kit available!

Ground Floor Hire
If you want an exclusive venue for your event, we can offer you a range of options on our Ground Floor. This can include AGMs, presentations or screenings with our Cafe Space set up theatre style, or training days with cabaret style “breakout tables” for group working. We can also offer drinks receptions with exclusive access for your guests to browse our latest exhibition. Between exhibitions, you can also hire the Main Space for your event – please contact us on hire@aspex.org.uk for more details
Capacity: Up to 40 cabaret style, up to 50 theatre style, up to 80 for receptions.
Cost: £150 per hour (2 hour minimum booking)
Participation Space
Capacity: Up to 20 seated. Room Dimensions: 4.2m x 4.5m
Cost: £75 per half day (10-1 and 1-4). Hours outside these are charged at £20 per hour.
If you order over £150 worth of catering, you can hire the space for free between 10 – 4!
Meeting Room
Capacity: Up to 12 seated. Room Dimensions: 5.5m x 3m
Cost: £50 per half day (10-1 and 1-4). Hours outside these are charged at £20 per hour.
If you order over £100 worth of catering, you can hire the space for free between 10 – 4!
