FREE DROP-IN WORKSHOPS THIS SUMMER
In August aspex will be running a series of drop-in workshops exploring materials in response to the exhibition One Thing Against Another. Artists Effie Coe and Emma Seymour will be running activities in the gallery at the following dates and times:Saturday 9 August, Saturday 23 August, Saturday 30 August
between 11am and 4pmDo come along any time to join in the fun. All ages welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
There will also be a special workshop with exhibiting artist Roy Brown on Saturday 16 August at Portsmouth Natural History Museum and in the neighbouring park.
No booking required. Workshops are FREE (suggested donation £2 per child).
BIG DRAW drop in animation workshop
Saturday 11 October, 11am-3pmAs part of The Big Draw national campaign to get people drawing, visitors to the gallery will have an opportunity to work alongside Japanese artist in residence Takashi Ishida in an animation workshop.
Come along anytime between 11am and 3pm to play your part in producing a short animated film. All ages are welcome, children under 7 should be supervised at all times. The workshop is FREE (suggested donation £2 per participant).
EDUCATIONAL VISITSAs an educational resource aspex represents an opportunity for groups to learn in a uniquely stimulating environment. We welcome group visits from schools, colleges, community groups and other educational organisations and encourage tours of the exhibition and artist-led workshops.
