INTRO - archive SPIKE IT Jeannie Driver 10 October - 11 November 2007 SPIKE IT is an innovative new work by artist Jeannie Driver produced in partnership with businesses, organisations and office workers.  The artist places 6ft tall spike files into workplaces. This act serves to raise awareness of issues around paper-work, flow and waste, while also allowing the artist to record the day-to-day emotions of the people that inhabit these spaces. SPIKE IT enables those who participate in the project to demonstrate commitment to cultural and environmental awareness, while providing a creative approach to office and staff development.  SPIKE IT is part of a series of projects Jeannie Driver has devised under the title of ‘Office Investigations’.  Each of these projects encourage discussion, lateral thinking and stimulate exchanges of new ideas in the work place.
