MUST HAVE... a smaller footprint
aspex is dreaming of a green Christmas
21 November 2009 - 10 January 2010

Meet the Makers: Saturday 21 November, 2-4pm

This year aspex is hosting a Christmas craft selling exhibition dedicated to all things renewable, sustainable and eco.

MUST HAVE… a smaller footprint launches aspex’s commitment to a sustainable future. All products and artists featured in the exhibition have a green ethos, demonstrated either through a fair trade policy or by using recycled or sustainable materials.

As we continue to consider our consumer values aspex has looked at how artists and makers are developing a focus on turning green, from re-worked scrabble pieces transformed to beautiful charm bracelets to a ‘butterfly clip’ installation.

Choose from a range of one off pieces that will thrill and delight or an eco product with sustainable credentials that offers a feel good factor.

Featured makers include: ruler trees by Lizzie Thomas, creature boxes by Mary Moox, textiles by Alison Willoughby, furniture by Sam Morgan, jewellery by Frances Wadsworth-Jones and T-boo, products by Blue Marmalade and fair-trade gifts by Nukulu.

All are welcome to come along to the Meet the Maker afternoon on Saturday 21 November, anytime between 2-5pm, with an opportunity to talk to some of the makers featured in the show, while enjoying festive mince pies and mulled wine.
