aspex believe that contemporary visual art can enrich lives and encourage learning. Our programme question, alongside exhibitions and events, are used as a starting point for a range of stimulating learning and participatory activities, which provide an insight into the way artists work today.

Our activities are designed to promote enjoyment and understanding of contemporary visual art. Children and families are invited to work creatively with professional artists, while talks and seminars encourage adult visitors to engage critically with contemporary art and to debate the wider issues explored by artists in the work that we show. We welcome visits from schools, colleges, community groups and other educational organisations and can provide tours and artist-led workshops.
