We are delighted to be part of Heritage Open Days, celebrating our architectural heritage in association with "Love Architecture" and The RIBA.
To mark the occasion, we will be hosting a unique "Family Saturdays" session inspired by the gallery's home, The Vulcan Building, on Saturday 10 September.
The conversion of the historic naval building was designed by Glenn Howells Architects and received a RIBA Award in 2007.
The "Family Saturdays" drop-in workshop take place at 11am - 1pm, and will give families the opportunity to create architecture-inspired artwork with local illustrator Jordan Baines.
A HoD board is also on-site, containing information about the building's past and image's of the 2006 conversion, which saw Aspex's relocation to the Gunwharf Quays waterfront. This is accompanied by an original miniature model of the gallery.
