LOOK UP | Journeys Festival International Portsmouth
Artist Svetlana Ochkovskaya is the 2018 Look-Up artist-in-residence and has created a high impact visual arts trail as part of Journeys Festival International Portsmouth.
Working with members of the refugee and asylum seeker community, and reflecting on her own experiences, Svetlana has produced a series of short moving image pieces, using green screen technology to explore the different layers which make an individual’s identity and which move with us and increase as we migrate. This process took place in the gallery's Artist's Studio in September/October 2018.
Look out for the work on screens across Portsmouth throughout the Festival. Venues include Aspex, The Big Screen, Southsea Library and Fratton Park on Saturday 20 October.
