Postcards From My Neighbourhood
How would you draw, paint or photograph your local neighbourhood?
Aspex and Southsea Lifestyle have asked people living within the PO Postcode to visually respond to what they love or loathe about their local area.
Hundreds of residents, of all ages and abilities have submitted postcard-sized artworks, resulting in a new exhibition in our Learning Space.
From these entries, a select few will feature within the Southsea Lifestyle publication and one winner will be showcased in the Information Centre in Gunwharf Quays, the South Coast’s premium retail outlet.
Following the exhibition, all of the postcards will be donated to the Portsmouth City Archive Service, creating a visual reflection of our local area for future generations.
A public celebration event will be held at the Gallery on Saturday 10 February, 14.00hrs. In attendance will be City Council leader Cllr. Donna Jones and Deputy Lord Mayor, Cllr. Lee Mason. All are welcome to attend.
